AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL:
Max explored the complicated relationship with his parents in 'Escape from the Valley of the Dolls' in the 2004 anthology Walking Higher: Gay Men Write about the Death of Their Mothers, and exorcises more ghosts of his past in 'Child Star' as part of Identity Envy: Wanting to be Who We Are Not
Erotic...or seemingly so:
His Underwear (Martin Tyler's Class Reunion)
Blood Lust (9821 Easton Drive)

Trivia: Why that address? Although 9821 is fictional(it's the side of a canyon), across the narrow drive is 9820 which was the site of the(your choice)suicide or murder of Jean Harlow's second husband, Paul Bern. In 1969, hairstylist Jay Sebring rented 9820 Easton Drive, before his own brutal death at the hands of Charles Manson's followers.
